As I have promised I will write about our relaxing there.
On the 6th of January, early in the morning we started from our home in Velenje. There were six of us: my parents, my sister & her boyfriend and my girl & me. It took us about an hour to pack two cars and begin the travel of about 500 kilometers. After long driving we came there. Lots and lots of nice views, but too little snow.
We have accommodated into out apartment that had bedroom, another room wit one doubble bad and one bunk, two separate bathrooms, living room and kitchen. It was really nice. Well it should be. Later when we were living we found out that apartment like this costs about 500.000 Euros!!!
During the first day we went to "center" of Arabba. Really beautiful town. We've bought our Skipasses and unpack all the stuff we brought with us. The next day we began with skiing. My girlfriend was on the skies for the first time after few years and so I helped her. She was starting really great. We'll she is really afraid of stiffness of terraing and freezes. By the end of the day she got it quite well.
In next few days the weather was chaotic. There was sun, clouds, mist, snow and rain. In these days we went to Mt. Marmolada (on skies of course), and made a Green Sella Ronda. That is the name for about 20 kilometer circle of slopes and lifts around mountain group Sella. It was just great.
There was some leak of snow on our favorite slopes. We call them ski beach of Val Di Fassa. Because of sun there was too little snow. On all slopes there was artificial snow. The best slopes of Val Gardena were very good. The stiffens of those slope is so great.
In the afternoons we cooked a dinner and after eating it we watched some movies and soon after we all went to sleep. It was jut a good relaxation. One evening we played ludo, the other day we went to town on a drink (some local one).
It was pure pleasure.
In the middle of the week we realized that we only took 6-days tickets, so we had a free day on Saturday. And we made it worth it. We made a Orange Sella Ronda with cars. The weather was great and it was so worth it. After that turned to home. This time not on the south side, but on the north, closer to Austrian border. We have done few "passos" (mountain pass) more but it was quite nice. We've made it back home in the early evening hours.
Oh, and there are some photos on the right.
